After Your Clones Arrive

Unpack, inspect, water, and acclimate your rooted clones after shipping — a practical recover-and-grow guide from Healthy Cannabis Clones.

How to Unpack Clones

Open the box indoors, away from wind and extreme temperatures. Remove packaging carefully so stems and roots are not bent or torn.

First Inspection

Check each plant for stem integrity, root moisture, and leaf condition. Mild droop after shipping can be normal; mushy stems or severe collapse should be documented with photos and reported to support.

Lighting During the First Day

Keep light gentle at first. Fresh arrivals prefer moderate intensity while they rehydrate and stand back up. Avoid slamming them under high-powered fixtures on hour one.

Watering Guidance

Roots should stay moist but not drowning. If the root zone feels dry, water lightly with clean, appropriate-temperature water. Do not overcorrect with heavy feed on day one.

Humidity & Environment Guidance

A stable, moderately humid environment helps clones recover. Avoid cold drafts, heat vents, and sudden VPD swings during the first 24–72 hours.

Acclimation After Shipping

Give plants a short acclimation window before aggressive training or transplant stress. Once they look perky and drinking normally, they are ready for the next step.

When to Transplant

Transplant when roots are healthy and plants have recovered from transit. Move into your chosen medium carefully and keep the first irrigation light.

Signs of Normal Shipping Stress

Temporary soft leaves, slight lean, or slowed growth for a day or two can be normal. Persistent decline, rot, or pest signs are not — contact us if recovery stalls.
